    I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving break. Pines will have a School Improvement Team Meeting on Wednesday 12/1 at 3:30 pm. Parents please come out and be a part of our decision-making process. A remind that the dental van will be at the school site on 11/29 - 12/3. If you would like for your child to be seen, make sure you have filled out and returned in a dental form. This is the end of the announcements. Thank you and enjoy your evening.

    Students that are taking Math 3 this semester are reminded to make sure they attend their scheduled tutoring sessions this week.  The EOC is coming soon so take advantage of every opportunity you have.

    I would like to thank the 22 students who came to school last Wednesday for our Thanksgiving workday.

    This coming Saturday is the Roper Christmas Parade.  All early college students are invited to participate.  However, you must sign up on the google form that was sent to you.  Please do this ASAP.  The parade starts at 11:00 am and students need to be at the gym in Roper no later than 10:30 am if they would like to participate.

  • WCHS WEEKLY UPDATES 11.30.2021

    Friday, December 3, is an early release day for students.  If your child is taking a NCVPS course, all work is due by December 10, 2021. No work will be accepted after December 10th.

    Washington County High School HOSA Club and Health Science classes have partnered with the Plymouth Fire Department to collect Toys for Tots. Toys will be donated to families in Washington County.

    November 30, 2021, WCHS will play Southside - Chocowinity, NC. December 1, 2021, Southeast Halifax. Tickets will be sold at the door of the first two games.  Seats are limited due to COVID-19. The game will begin at 4:30 pm.  Please click the title to read more.

  • WCS Substitute Teacher Refresher Sessions

    SUBSTITUTE REFRESHER TRAINING SESSIONS - The Washington County Schools Human Resources Department will offer a refresher Substitute Training Session for all current Board of Education approved substitutes. You must complete one session of the refresher in order to substitute teach for the 2021-2022 school year.

There are new programs available and you may need to take some classes to fulfill the requirements. There is also a program to assist you if you have served in the military.     Back To School Immunizations

    WCS Parents and Guardians, This is a friendly reminder to have your child’s immunization records updated for the 2021-2022 school year. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Assessments also need to be completed.  Scholars entering the 7th Grade and 12th Grade need to have their immunization shots updated. Please take this time to make appointments with your Healthcare Providers. Attached are the  requirements by grade levels. Be Safe. Wear your mask. Wash your hands.
